Not to be confused with its playable animal counterpart or the Giant Bear.

The Asiatic Black Bear is the Epic Boss of the Japanese Forest map. It is at level 160 and gives the players 65 remains of its flesh and grasses. Like all Epic Bosses, its location is marked with a human skull icon. If a player attempts to drive the Boss outside its arena where it spawns, it will vanish and reappear back in its original spawning place. This also goes with all Epic Bosses.

Appearance[]

The Asiatic Black Bear has black fur with a golden lower ruff and a red scar running down its face, explaining the blind left eye. It also has scars on its light brown muzzle and back and sharp claws.

Trivia[]

  • It is the second Boss to be a bear.
  • It was previously the strongest Epic Boss (not including Clan Bosses), but was later replaced with the Tigon King.
  • It's the first (and only) Epic Boss to be named after a real animal species.
  • It has a playable animal counterpart, which is the Bear.
  • It also has another Epic Boss counterpart, which is known as the Giant Bear, and can be found in the Winter Forest.
  • There is occasionally a glitch that happens on Multiplayer when a player plays as the Eagle and hides behind the bamboo shoots on the Bear's right side. This causes the Bear to run at the player, but gets stuck, which leaves an advantage to other players who will continue to attack it with ease.
